Gallup Park
Gallup Park is one of the most popular recreation places in Ann Arbor. Bike paths run along almost the entire length of the race course. There are also playgrounds for the kids. Grills and picnic tables will be available for MCRA racers and families at the Wooden Picnic Shelter. The park is very popular, so the MCRA will receive a lot of exposure. Please try to make yourself available after the races to answer questions people might have about the MCRA and canoe racing in general. For information and a map of Gallup Park, go to: http://www.a2gov.org/government/communityservices/ParksandRecreation/parks/Features/Pages/Gallup.aspx
Lodging
The nearest campgrounds are located in Ypsilanti and Brighton. There are several hotels and motels in the Ann Arbor area if you wish to stay overnight.
