Gulf States Incorporated Canoe Challenge

Where: Tittabawassee River, Midland MI, Emerson Park

When: Saturday May 30th, 2009

C-2 Race $1000 purse
- Briefing at 9:30 a.m.
- Start at 10:00 a.m., Expert II will start 5 min before Expert I (same course)

C-1 Race, $350 purse,1 hour after last finisher of C-2 race. (same course as C-2 only 1 lap and we cut out the turn around the bridge)

Race Length: Same as last year, looped course, 2 laps easy water, (winners time 1:45)

Entry Fee: $25.00 per boat C-2, $10.00 per boat C-1

Extra/Extra: Junior (under 17) and Fledgling (under 13)
- Youth Races (immediately following C-1 race)
- Medals will be awarded!!

Emerson Park: Emerson Park is a beautiful park with lots to do for families. A bike path follows a lot of the river so bring your bike or roller blades to watch the race. Lots of play areas for kids.
