Schedule of Events
C-1 -- Saturday, May 15
- Starts at 5:30 p.m. BIG CHANGE IN THE C-1 RACE: The race will be time trial format starting at the 638 Hwy bridge (also goes by Errat Hwy). This is upstream from the C-2 turnaround in the river section. We will start there, paddle down to M-68, turn a buoy and finish upstream at the Black River rd. bridge (where we turn around for the C-2 race).
- 638 Hwy/Errat Hwy is 2 miles south of M68. You can go south on Black River Road (turn east) or south on M33 (turn west).
- About 50 minutes winning time. Should be a pretty fun C-1 course without windswept waves.
- Entry: $10
C-2 -- Sunday, May 16
- Starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Tower Pond boat launch behind fire and town halls on M68 in Tower
- Same course as years past for Expert I, paddling on two ponds and a river section with 4 portages. Expert II will not take the river portion of the race.
- Both C-2 classes will begin together
- Winning time about 1:45
- Entry: $20
