Cherry Festival Canoe RaceTraverse City, Michigan July 1-2, 2006 We are racing on July 1 and July 2 this year. The C1 race will be held on July 1, 6:00 PM, starting in Hull Park off Woodmere Ave., paddling upstream to buoy in the Boardman River south of the YMCA, just downstream of the Dam, then returning to Hull Park. The race will take approximately 1 ½ hours, finishing about 7:30 PM. The course is the same as last year. Entry Fees for the C-1 race is $15. The C2 race will start on Brown Bridge Pond, there will be a loop around a buoy on the pond, portage around Brown Bridge Dam, then paddle downstream on the Boardman River, finishing at Hull Park. The course will be the same as last year. The starting time is 10:00 am, and finishing time will be about 1:00 PM. Entry Fees for the C-2 race is $25.
